Applications for round two of the ClimateConnect grant program are now open!

What do massaging shower heads, a solution for problem trees and a solar powered cricket club have in common? They were all among the successful applications in round one of the ClimateConnect program.

Are you a member of a community group with a project that encourages people to work together to reduce emissions or conserve energy? 

You may want to apply for a ClimateConnect grant. Eligible applicants can apply for funding of up to $30,000.

The ClimateConnect grant program aims to assist local communities, households and individuals to work together to find climate change solutions.

Project ideas which meet the program’s key objectives are being sought. These objectives are:

  • reducing greenhouse gas emissions
  • conserving energy
  • encouraging others to find climate change solutions
  • promoting new ideas to reduce emissions and conserve energy.

Closing date is 5pm, Friday 29 January 2010.
